iTube: The Soft Black Smokey Eye for Day

   Hi ladies and gents, seems like I'm on a wave of inspiration in which I totally rely on to make my posts/videos happen, since my break from work started I found myself having more ideas and especially more time to work on fun things here on the blog. Yay!!!

   That being said, I count on you for feedback, for letting me know what you'd like to see here, etc... I'm sure you already know it but the every time you reach out to me it truly makes me jump up and down with joy, so keep those comments coming my friends ;)

This week's video is a black smokey eye look to be worn during the day for it's softness, I promise you're not going to scare away anyone in the office, much to the opposite it's a tasteful and appropriate black eye (POW!!!) look for day!

   What I used on my face to prep skin:

- Pixi pre-primer serum
- Chanel Vitalumiere tinted makeup in 40
- Mac Studio Fix concealer in NW30
- Makeup Forever waterproof aqua brow in 15

   These are the things I'm wearing right now but obviously you can use what you have at home. I do suggest matte eye shadows for this look though as the shimmery kinds will make it a bit evening-ish.

   Step-by-step eye product application:

- eye primer
- brown creamy pencil or a warm shade of brown eye shadow
- black matte eye shadow
- highlighter or shimmer eye shadow under the brow at the brow bone
Then smoke it all out with a blending brush, and don't forget the lower lash line!
- eye liner (can be pencil, gel, liquid whatever you prefer!) and line the water line, that really makes a difference ;)

Ready to rock!

iTube: The Spring Smoky Eye Look!

   Well hello ladies! I'm finally having a bit of time (having breakfast and cooking dinner at the same time I'm writing this post!!! Feeling like such a multi tasker ;) and I'm posting my latest video on the blog. I really really love this look for spring and summer and hope you will enjoy as well. Also wanted to touch base and let you know I'm working on getting a better camera for my videos, I  know they lack visual quality and that's a bit of a turn off, so hopefully you'll stick around to check out my improvements soon :)

These are all the goodies used on this look! They are really my must-haves for spring, if you need to substitute some items I would get the Physicians Formula bronzer/illuminator instead of the Dior, you can also use the BB cream that works for you ;)

    Another piece of news is that we're finally getting closer to move back home. I really miss our home, friends and family in Indy and we're super looking forward to the day of.

   So real quick on this makeup look, it's really important to have a good skin for this coming season and I was having major break outs, what helped me was to prime my skin with the Neutrogena healthy skin primer, it also has a bit of illuminating properties in it, so you can choose to put anything else on top or simply leave your with just the primer, depending what you're doing and weather you need a full made up face or not!

Please let me know if you have any questions, and as always I appreciate any support and if you would please like, share, comment or subscribe to my channel, besides making me a happy (and busy) gal, I'll put more effort and time on my passion for fashion :)

iTube: The Nearly Naked Foundation Routine by Karina Reske

   This tutorial goes trough my latest foundation routine, I'm starting to add a bit of glow here and there to welcome spring in a happy way ;) but what I'm really loving right now is the Nearly Naked foundation from Revlon, which is about $10 and it definitely performs like a high end foundation!

  Another awesome product (not so budget friendly but most definitely a must for spring/summer glowy skin is the Dior shimmer powder, I'm using the 002 Amber Diamond but the pink combination is also very cute!

   Other products used on this video is the PIXI line relaxer, pre primer;
MAC studio finish cream concealer;
Lancome blush in Mocha Havanna;
Bobbi Brown blush in Apricot;
Dior New Look mascara;
L'oreal pink lipstick

Hope you enjoy this everyday base for your makeup as much as I do!

iTube: Natural looking makeup for the everyday!

   Today I made a natural looking makeup tutorial for you to endure your day looking pretty and flawless! I recently purchase the Christmas special brush kits from MAC, but they don't have the kits anymore so if you're willing to spend a little more I highly recommend the full size version of them: 130, 187 and 188 Short Duo Fibre Brush $42 and $35. These brushes are a blend of natural and synthetic hair but extra-soft, this is really all you need for amazing product blend, they are perfect for creams, liquids and powder textures, in other words everything! Also invest on a great eye pencil that slides and blends well, the one I used on the video and part of my everyday routine is the Stubborn Brown also by MAC. Hope you enjoy ;)

Keep in touch, as always I highly value you feedback...and I'll see you soon!

iTube: O Olho de Jade!

   Pois eh, finalmente aqui estou eu me rendendo aos pedidos das minha queridas amigas Brasileiras!

Quem lembra?! Haha, nossa to velha meninas....

* For my awesome American followers, don't worry this is a special post for my Brazilian friends who asked for tutorials in Portuguese. I'm not sure how often I'll be publishing them but every once in a while (two or three times a month I'm thinking) you'll be seeing these crazy words around here! In 2013 I want to celebrate diversity and my roots!! Cheers ;D

iTube: How to hide under-eye circles/bags

I'm pretty sure a lot of us girlies can relate to this problem, some more than others that's why I made this quick video (it really is my shortest ;D) so you can try to minimize the problem. One thing to remember though is to use yellow concealer to neutralize purple circles and use green ones to hide red spots. Cover your concealer with one that matches your skin color!!

iTube: The Smoky Eye!

   Today's video is about the smoky eye, I absolutely love it for any occasion, a lighter or stronger version would be the variant but either way the smoky eye is a must know when it comes to make up!

    On my video I'm using a brown palette by MAC and I usually recommend warmer pallets for brown, hazel and green eyes and cooler palettes for blue, gray and black eyes. That doesn't mean you're stuck with these colors for life, I'm all for being trendy and trying new things, these are just the most complimentary colors for your eyes ;)

This is a BAD screen shot from the video, just so you can see what's going to look like!

   Enough of bla bla bla and let's get to the make up!!!

   Products used:
MAC eye primer in medium
MAC smoky eye palette in brown shades (mine is so old there's not even a color name, but any hues that appeal to you will work)
Lancome brown pencil in sable (for top lid)
Mac eye pencil in stubborn brown (for lower lid and inside eye-lines)
Lancome Doll Lashes mascara
Make-up brushes

   As always, thank you my beautiful supporters!

iTube: The Cat Eye!

   Hello dear beauty junkies!

   Today is Wednesday which means it's tutorial day around here, this week I'm doing a demo on my staple when it comes to make up, the cat eye! As you watch the video there's a couple of tips on how to make your eye liner stay put but I actually learned another trick after the video was done and it is to go with black eye shadow (powder) on top of the eye liner as well, that is a great little trick to do when you are nor wearing any other kind of shadow! You might be confused by now, so watch the video and you'll understand ;)

What I use to create my cat eye:

-Eye primer by Mac
-Eye liner brush by Bobbi Brown
-Gel eye liner by Bobbi Brown
-Nude eye shadow in peach sorbet by Revlon
-Doll lashes mascara by Lancome
And for the night version just add
-Creamy eye shadow Color Tattoo by Maybelline in gold

 *Go rock that tiger inside of you! And tell us if you enjoyed the tutorial!!*
