iTube: Spring dress outfit looks!

Ok Ladies, this style videos are becoming really successful and I'm so happy to be able to share my passion with all of you, and even happier that you're enjoying them and giving me so much feedback, seems like my hard work is finally paying off!!!

This week I chose a cute little spring dress to style for you, by pulling different color accessories (belt and shoes) we completely changed the look of the dress and I'm sure you can find yourself in at least one of the looks :) I did say on my intro that I had a makeup look to go along with the outfit but unfortunately that wasn't uploaded together (my fault, sorry....) BUT I am working on a separate post for that one video so you can check back tomorrow! Pinky promise ;D

Dress is from H&M's last season but don't you panic, you can find similar styles all over guys, the idea is to accessorize differently so you can make the most of your dress and money ;)

1st Look: Gryphon New York studded belt in a latte color; Forever 21 gold open toe platform heels

2nd Look: Brave wrap black leather belt; Truth or Dare studded black pumps

3rd Look: Target nude patent leather skinny belt and platform pumps (cheappos!!!)

FashionBuzz: H&M Conscious - Sustainable Style Line

So I got the email a few days ago ( might have been a week!) and I was AMAZED with H&M's  new line "Conscious - Sustainable", not only this is a great step to use up waste but also builds up consciousness in the youngsters (and oldies too) minds. Not to mention how absolutely fabulous the pieces look, seriously couture-ish like my friends and some prime material for the vintage look lovers, also one of them you can even categorize as avant-garde ;) no that's not all, the prices are also something to talk about, and most pieces are machine washable (if you're like me that means a lot!!!)

CONSCIOUS - "Our vision is that business operations shall be run in a way that is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable".

Take a look at a few of my favorite pieces:

H&M Embroidered Dress, $299. Mesh dress with embroidered pattern and lace appliques. 49% recycled polyamide, 30% organic cotton, 21%polyamide.

H&M Rose Trimmed Dress, $129. Raw edged hem with roses, fully lined. 75% recycled polyester, 25% polyamide.

H& Tulle Dress, $199. 100% recycled polyester.

H&M Patterned Dress, $199. Rhinestones and beaded embroidery on the top bodice. 85%organic cotton, 15% silk.

H&M Dress with Beaded Embroidery $129, Rhinestones at front and back of skirt as well as bodice. 85% organic cotton 15% silk.

For more info on their collection and much much more pieces, including more casual and much cheaper ones go to: hm.com/us

Items not available in every store, so I'm crossing my fingers I'll be able to find one to show you and do a quick review ;)

LookBook: Spring mood with a bit of an edge ;)

Hey there, I know it's a bit to soon for spring fashion but really if you mix your floral pieces with a bit of leather (in this case a cute coated/waxed jean) that should bring a bit of color in your gray day :)

The coated pant is Joe's jeans, great leather look without the stretch :D
Blouse and blazer both from H&M, pumps are basic Nine West!

LookBook: Little ideas/looks to get your week started!

Back to Colorado, where I've been calling home for the last few months. This past week I spent in Indy where I used to call home and that brought back a whole lot of memories that left me a bit nostalgic...in a good way. Sometimes I take certain things for granted when I should really be thanking God for them every single day of my life ( and I don't mean shoes by that!!) but it takes a few visits to the past to realize that. I do have to say that I have the most amazing people surrounding me and that I am extremely lucky to be around those who truly care about me. Like the saying "after the hurricane comes the rainbow", I'm ready to get my rainbow going here!!!

I know this is a fashion blog so I won't be rambling on my personal discoveries :) let's get to the point and be happy!

This week I have decided to post a few of my looks from last week. Sounds like a lazy thing to do considering I didn't work at all last week, well it is but you can always get some ideas from them...as my job here is really to keep you entertained ;)

These are oldies but totally my kind of outfit. An oxford button up shirt with a jean jacket and tweed skirt. Side pony and you can't be more feminine....unless you like the "piriguette" look!!!! Hehehe

OMG! This is a total sci-fi jacket from BCBG MaxAzria that I fell in love with. Silver and black with stretchy arms and soooo out of this world!

Nude with plum combo. Coat is from a friend's line, she carries it in black and nude at Eutemia's FB page and the dress is from a higher H&M line that was sold in NYC.

Truth or Dare shoe line from Madonna (these are really like Louboutins except they cost soooooo much less!) They're really the ideal shoe to get out of your conservative zone without being the center of attention.

Nine West shoe on sale for $45 at Macy's, get a coupon and save even more!

A nudie but a goodie! Basic nude shoes are a must on every girls shoe closet. They never go out of style and make your legs look sooooo much longer....a must for the not so tall girls like myself! *investment piece*

LookBook: Day out of town..

Day out of town finding lots of goodies for fall! Went to pick up my girlies at school and Bella goes: Mommy, you look soooooo cute!!!!!

What in heavens would I do without my "gurls"?!

Anyhow, she took some of the pics and here we are:

It all started when my friend Karin went sneaker shopping and asked my opinion, I sent her my look wearing my own!

Then my Belinha started shooting!! Ban, ban, ban

Great hat find at Target (little girls section! Oops!!!) Bird top H&M, jeans Rag & Bone (the best jean I have ever worn!!)

Cardi Forever 21, sneakers Steve Madden, Jewelry Stella & Dot

Do I have a talented child or what?!

LookBook: The high and low military look

These pics were taken a few weeks ago without me knowing about the edgy trends...well I guess that's why I do what I do ;)

This idea is to mix the fancier fabrics with the military "worn-out" piece (in this case, a denim shirt). I like to cinch my waist so add a bold belt and finish the look with girly accessories. It adds a personal touch.

Keep in mind this outfit was worn during summer time, for fall I suggest a heavier dress made of wool or velvet to maintain the chic aesthetic and still be playful, even a thick pair of tights with ankle booties will do it!

Gold mullet pleated dress, H&M; denim shirt, Ralph Lauren; gladiator military green heels, Shutz.

My Style Diary: Amy Rigdon

Another Monday, another summer style straight from NYC!

Amy was a classmate who now works for Victoria's Secret PINK collection as a CAD Designer. Her job duties include creating CADs for both intimates and lounge spec packs (which are very detailed packages containing information about the piece, such as overall design, colors, trims, placement of zippers, elastic, etc., cost, tags, and many other details), communicating with factories to make sure they received all the correct info to start production and creating the color palette and prints for the season! How awesome is that?!

Her summer wardrobe is simple but stylish, the mix of bright and soft colors is beautiful and not to mention the picturesque backgrounds ;)

Here we go:

 Tank: H&M
 Pants: Necessary
 Necklace: H&M

 Green top: H&M
 Shorts: Forever 21
 Wedges: Aldo

 Top and belt: H&M
 Pants: Mango
 Wedges: Aldo

Navy top: Necessary
Mint skirt: H&M
Pumps: BCBG Generation
Neckalace: H&M

Amy was also featured on ModaIndy last fall, check out her outfit options for the colder season!

LookBook: Neon Mix

A bright mix of neon with basic shapes and silhouettes, one of my faves lately.

Enjoy the summer colors while you can, before too long fall will be here...and don't forget to accessorize, that's what brings life to any outfit!!

LookBook: Neutro Total

Back from a break....again ;)

Today's look is a basic neutral and a sophisticated yet soft sub from the black and white looks. Shades of gray paired with shades of nude always go well no matter the occasion. I adore this look not only because the dress was a birthday gift from my fashionista friend Isabela Paim but because the silhouette is so boho and flowy but it becomes instantly chic and put together with a tailored little blazer!

  Ideas to try:

 1. Play with different lengths and try a nude mini-skirt with a gray maxi-cardie

 2. Super high nude pumps will take the look straight to a night of partying, along with pulling up the sleeves of the jacket

 3. This look works best with a smoky eye and nude lips. If it's too hot out I would just contour the eyes and wear a soft pink shade on the lips ;D

Dress Mossimo from Target, blazer H&M, shoes Jorge Alex, costume jewelry from independent street jewelry designers from the coast of Sao Paulo Brazil.

LookBook: Mini balloon-skirt dress with open back!

I got this cutie at H&M Chicago a couple of weeks ago. So sad this kind of dresses never make it to the Indy stores, what's up with that?! Frustrations aside I'm happy I got it...not only it compliments the shades of my new hair style ;P but it goes a long way when changing the accessories and pulling the hair up in a bun. It's a special little dress for an even specialer price!

This time I wore with a long tan leather belt (I love when the belt is long enough to tie at the end, it adds a little something something!!) from Ann Taylor and a pair of green textured leather heels from Ralph Lauren (both items are from past seasons, sorry!) but I also put it on with a deep brown leather belt and chunky heels and it looked absolutely bold, at the end though I went with hunny bunny's choice ;)

Special thanks to Blaire for the great shots @ blairecontrare on instagram
