AccessoriZe: Autumn Coral

   Coral is such a strong color for Fall 2012. I always thought of coral as a summer hue but I guess not! In fact white is another "summer color" that is strong this fall and coral and white together makes it for a crisp, fresh outfit (at least in my little crazy head!).

   I love to incorporate trends with classics as most of us do, so another way to wear this necklace is with a textured black dress with a cinched waist or a mod silhouette, very simple yet very elegant ;)

   But most important is that the bib necklace can be dressed up or down, it goes well with a sophisticated dress and with a casual tank top and shorts or pants. Try it!!

    The combination of the Safari mood goes really well with this color palette; black, cream and coral.

My Style Diary: Amy Rigdon

Another Monday, another summer style straight from NYC!

Amy was a classmate who now works for Victoria's Secret PINK collection as a CAD Designer. Her job duties include creating CADs for both intimates and lounge spec packs (which are very detailed packages containing information about the piece, such as overall design, colors, trims, placement of zippers, elastic, etc., cost, tags, and many other details), communicating with factories to make sure they received all the correct info to start production and creating the color palette and prints for the season! How awesome is that?!   

Her summer wardrobe is simple but stylish, the mix of bright and soft colors is beautiful and not to mention the picturesque backgrounds ;)

TrendReport: High fashion tennis shoes

Ladies and gents, believe it or not tennis shoes are making an appearance far away from the gym!

Yes, they are high and fashion forward on the feet of the models and fashionistas around the world! Designers such as Isabel Marant and Marc Jacobs (to name a few) came out with their vision of the trend and it's sticking with all the celebs as well!! I can't tell you I love tennis shoes, that would be a big fat lie. But I'm actually finding myself so drawn to this trend that I added a Steve Madden tennis shoe to my wishlist for my birthday (coming this Friday!).

Now, let's stop the bla-bla-bla and talk about how to wear them:

1. The easiest way is really with your skinnies, whether denim or leather this trend looks great with skinny pants for fall.

  
     2.  Enjoy the rest of the summer and pair them up with cut-off short jeans and mini skirts as well.

  
    3. Another alternative is a bit risque but I adore risque! I would definitely wear the tennis shoes with a high fashion beaded mini-dress (like the Parker dress below), putting together the fancy and the casual seems to be the latest in the fashion world and I'm all for it!! This might have to be my birthday outfit!

Yes, I decided to bring back to life an idea previously used on our beloved ModaIndy. The section where we feature stylish girls to inspire us on our day-to-day outfit choice ;)

TrunkShow: Success!!

   OMG! How fun it was to have a glass of margarita and get the girls to try on some fashion forward jewelry and feel amazing on it...priceless!!!!
